Update
I cannot believe it has been almost a whole month since the last time I was here. I can't believe I survived so long without a computer. What a spoil generation we live in. Let us catch up.
Where did I leave off? PTA was fine. It was nice to shep nachas as I listened to the teachers say nice things about the children. Even if there was an issue, it would sound nice.
Then we go to Channukah. The kids had off the last few days. Friday and Monday. Friday they stayed home with the babysitter, we all had work. It was only a few hours so I didn't feel soo bad. We then went to Brooklyn for Shabbos which is always fun. Actually it wasn't so bad this time around, and it was also our anniversary. Seven years. So of course there was a cake Friday night.
Before Shabbos my kids got some nice gifts. One I requested, Cliks. My daughter got an outfit for her "Build-a-Bear Workshop". The baby got sit 'n spin. They also received some Channukah gelt. Motzei Shabbos there was a Channukah party, where my other brother came and more pressents were given out. Fun was had by all. We put the baby to sleep and my husband and I went out.
We went to the city by.train. I don't like the train, but being that it was New Years Eve, it was the best solution. We went to the restaurant and was expecting company to join us, but they didn't show till right when we go to the door to leave. So we made a u-turn and sat back down so they can eat the dessert that we had for them.
The kicker was, I was in NYC. I saw the ball drop. In the restaurant. Half hour later, I was at Times Square. I couldn't believe my luck. I always wanted to be at Times Square for New Years Eve. I was so close. So very close, but no cigar. Maybe some other time. But at least I was out of the house so I was able to watch the ball drop. I really do not know why I am fascinated by it! I remember when I was younger I used to watch it when I was away. Not sure when my fatuation started.
Over Shabbos I finally got to finish reading this book that I was reading for so long. I just never had the time to read it in one sitting, though I really truly wanted to read it. I bought it before Succos, and finally finished reading "The Will". It was an amazing book I must say. Really long. But well worth it. I left it at my mom's house for her to read, and forgot to pick up the book she finished reading. I love reading. My daughter is good at that too.
We just finished reading a Clifford book, and she wrote a book report on it. Not much writing I must say, but it is called a book report no less. She wrote her name, date, title, author, illustrated by and then she had to draw a picture which she traced. She then added the sentence that was written on the page that belonged to the picture. This is her second one she wrote. The teacher said if she writes two, she gets a prize. She actually wanted to write three before she got the prize, but at least let her give the second one in. I will definitely encourage her to write some more. I am so proud of her.
My four year old is cute. We were working on a project together, when he goes to me "Mommy, let me do that, I just know how to do things." My smart little boy who doesn't even realize that he is smart. he is now realizing he "just" knows things.
Impressive typing for someone who has a bandaid on her finger.
Got to run out now and do some grocery shopping.
