Summer is Over

Camp is over. Think it would be a good idea to tip my kids counselors? I am not really sure why I didn’t do it when I was supposed to. I just got lazy and never got around to it. So now, I must mail it to them. Oh well. Better late then never. They do deserve their tips and I am assuming they were not paid so much considering the tips are pretty high. I just with the camp would incorporate tips into the fee, and pay it up front, without having to shell out more money later on. Same with school.

Why can’t school give us one bill? Here is what you owe us. Pay it over ten months. It will include all funny obligations, and all miscellaneous charges like Chanukah gifts, pesach hagadah, etc, etc. I would rather know what my expenses are upfront, then having little odds and ends through out the year. But things wont change they will just stay the same.

I think my car pool issues are resolved. I am so excited. I am going to do a double shift. We have four drivers. I swapped with someone, I will take her daughter to Kindergarten in my carpool (and drive her shift) and she will take my daughter home from school, every single day. Woo Hoo. When I she called, I was so excited. I then called one person in the carpool and told her. She agreed, and we just needed to find one more, to make it a fiver driver carpool. I think we found her yesterday. The kids are in the same grade and we are all near each other. The best part, the child who I am driving in the morning, is only going in the morning, so it only affects two people’s car pooling, and one of them is me. Car pooling is a stress that I can do without! Best part about this car pool, is that there are three of us who have boys! So assuming we are all promoted, they will be in the same building next year and we just need to find two more children to join. For those of you who don’t carpool, you will never understand my stress. For those of you who do not work you will definitely not understand the hardship it is to find someone who can drive the PM shift. My carpool is made up of THREE working MOMS. Go figure! That is a tough carpool. BH I think it is working out.

My daughter requested a specific knapsack. A rolling Hello Kitty knapsack. I am searching high and low for one, and all the hot-spots I tried, do not have it. I did check Kohls.com, but it is way too much money for me to spend on a knapsack when I can get a regular HK knapsack for half price. I will keep searching as I still have two weeks till school starts.

Speaking of school. I went shopping for uniform shirts. I cannot seem to find a white oxford shirt for my darling daughter. I did find lacy peter pan collars, and I am wondering if the school will allow her to wear them. It was hard to find regular peter pan color shirts. I can’t even find them on Land’s End. Next, I have to try on her skirts and jumper from last year to see if they still fit her. Yes, I know, we had uniforms before First Grade. It did make getting dress easier!

Looking for a new cell phone. Any suggestions? Right now I have Cingular, but the old plan not the digital one, it is three years old. I want to upgrade because all my calls are dropping, as they are not replacing the old towers. But my service plan is great. I get a lot of calls for cheap, and there is no one out there who can beat that. I will just have to be careful with my minutes. I looked into the Razr3 and the V551. Mixed reviews. Some say they are great and super while others claim they are faulty. I want the V551 while my husband wants the Razr. We do not need to get the same phone. My biggest complaint on my old Motorola phone was the charging was hard to hook up. The Nokia charger is much easier. Other than that, I would rather get a Motorola phone. Up for suggestions, so lets hear it.

Have a great day.
